Beginner Volleyball Development League

Our Beginner Volleyball Development League is designed specifically for young athletes ages 5-8 who are new to volleyball or have limited playing experience. The program introduces players to the fundamentals of volleyball in a positive environment where they can develop coordination, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Seven Week Program

A Progression Built for Beginners

Development comes first. Competition is introduced gradually through modified, age-appropriate activities and game play.

Weeks 1–2

Introduction & Fundamentals

Players are introduced to volleyball and begin developing basic skills through fun drills and activities.

Weeks 3–4

Skill Development

Players continue developing passing, setting, serving, movement, and ball-control skills.

Weeks 5–6

Game Development

Players begin applying their skills through modified games and age-appropriate competition.

Week 7

League Play & Celebration

Players put their skills together through fun league play and finish the season by celebrating their development.

Athletes will receive a team shirt that they will be required to wear each week! Failure to wear your team shirt will result in a technical foul awarded to the opposing team. Be sure to enter the correct shirt size on your athlete's registration. If your shirt is lost, damaged, or the wrong size is ordered, the cost is $35 to order a replacement. Athletes are permitted to wear any color short/pant and must be wearing sneakers.
